Job description
Analyze complex customer requirements and develop customer specific mechanical and automotive system solutions. Clarify technical scope, application requirements, and engineering constraints for customer projects. Plan, coordinate, document, evaluate, and support approval of customer application projects. Conduct application and installation reviews of engine and exhaust aftertreatment systems to ensure technical compliance. Develop and execute verification and validation (V&V) activities during value add project development. Design verification and validation plans and perform advanced engineering measurements related to V&V. Monitor and evaluate validation activities at customer sites to ensure adherence to technical and performance requirements. Support improvements related to engineering laboratories, test benches, telemetry systems, and other advanced measurement activities. Collaborate closely with design engineering teams to review project designs and ensure customer and system requirements are met throughout the development process. Review, align, and present potential new projects to the business team to assess technical feasibility and project status. Identify application and market needs and support new product introductions. Communicate regularly with sales teams to evaluate and address customer requests for product changes or additions from an engineering perspective. Travel approximately once per month to a U.S. customer site to conduct installation reviews of the companys engines. Requirements: U.S. Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering; 6 months of experience in application engineering, powertrain integration engineering Experience with hybrid and electrical powertrain systems into customer vehicles.
