Senior Account Executive / Account Manager - PR & Talent Relations
Location: New York City
MVPR is hiring a Senior Account Executive / Account Manager - PR & Talent Relations to join our New York team.
This role is designed for a well-rounded communications professional with experience across editorial PR, celebrity and VIP relations, influencer marketing, talent seeding, and brand activations. The final title and level will be determined based on experience, existing relationships, client-management capabilities, and ability to independently lead accounts.
The ideal candidate may be a strong Senior Account Executive ready to take the next step into account management, or an established Account Manager looking for a more integrated role spanning both PR and talent relations.

About the Role
The Senior Account Executive / Account Manager will work across a portfolio of global fashion, accessories, beauty, and lifestyle clients, supporting integrated communications programs across editorial, VIP, talent, influencer, gifting, seeding, and brand activations.
This person will work closely with senior leadership to develop strategy, identify proactive opportunities, manage media and talent outreach, oversee day-to-day account execution, and ensure a high standard of client service.
At the Account Manager level, this person will be expected to independently lead day-to-day client relationships, oversee account strategy and execution, manage junior team members, and drive proactive recommendations across accounts.
At the Senior Account Executive level, this person will take significant ownership of account execution, outreach, client deliverables, and project management while continuing to develop toward full account leadership.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day account activity across multiple fashion, accessories, beauty, and lifestyle clients.
- Develop and execute integrated PR and talent strategies around client priorities, product launches, seasonal moments, and cultural opportunities.
- Develop compelling story angles and secure meaningful editorial coverage across print, digital, trade, commerce, and lifestyle media.
- Build and maintain relationships with editors, journalists, stylists, celebrity representatives, influencers, talent managers, publicists, and other relevant industry contacts.
- Drive celebrity and VIP gifting, stylist outreach, talent seeding, dressing opportunities, and organic product placement.
- Identify and manage relevant influencer and creator opportunities, including organic seeding and paid partnerships where applicable.
- Support and/or lead paid talent and creator partnerships, including outreach, negotiations, deliverables, timelines, usage, approvals, and reporting.
- Plan and execute brand events, activations, collection previews, gifting suites, press appointments, influencer appointments, and talent fittings.
- Draft press releases, pitches, media alerts, invitations, briefing documents, outreach materials, and other communications assets.
- Monitor editorial calendars, emerging talent, cultural moments, social trends, and industry developments to proactively identify opportunities for clients.
- Manage client reporting, activity trackers, meeting agendas, recaps, and strategic presentations.
- Oversee sample trafficking through Launchmetrics, including editorial loans, stylist pulls, gifting, check-ins, returns, and showroom coordination.
- Coordinate desksides, market appointments, collection previews, launches, press events, and other client-facing initiatives.
- Work collaboratively across MVPR's New York and Los Angeles teams to ensure press, talent, influencer, and showroom efforts are aligned.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members and interns, with level of management responsibility determined by seniority.
- Identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships and contribute to new business initiatives where appropriate.
Qualifications
- 4-6+ years of relevant experience across public relations, communications, talent relations, influencer marketing, or related fields within fashion, accessories, beauty, or lifestyle; agency experience strongly preferred.
- Experience across both editorial media relations and talent/influencer relations.
- Proven ability to secure meaningful editorial coverage and execute VIP, celebrity, influencer, gifting, or seeding programs.
- Existing relationships with relevant editors, journalists, stylists, influencers, talent representatives, publicists, and/or agents.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. media, fashion, talent, influencer, and cultural landscape.
- Experience managing paid influencer or talent partnerships preferred.
- Strong client-facing experience, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally.
- Experience with sample trafficking and showroom operations; Launchmetrics experience preferred.
- Familiarity with ShopMy, LTK, or similar creator-commerce platforms is a plus.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Highly proactive, solutions-oriented, organized, and detail-focused.
- Strong judgment and the ability to identify opportunities without waiting for direction.
- Collaborative and accountable working style.
- Genuine interest in fashion, media, talent, creators, and culture.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace.
- Experience with Launchmetrics, Muck Rack, and Lefty preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range:65,000-90,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and final level.
