About the Position

Bleu Steel Manufacturing Incorporated is seeking an experienced millwright to perform industrial equipment installation, mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. We're looking for someone dependable who can work independently and take pride in quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Install, dismantle, repair, and relocate industrial machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, couplings, and belt or chain drives.
  • Perform shaft alignment using dial indicators or laser alignment equipment.
  • Level machinery and install base plates, shims, anchors, and grout.
  • Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Read mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and installation layouts.
  • Rig and move equipment safely using appropriate lifting equipment.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures and other site safety requirements.
  • Identify needed parts and document maintenance and repairs.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of millwright or industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with machinery alignment, bearings, seals, and drive components.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools.
  • Practical knowledge of rigging and equipment installation.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly.
  • Reliable attendance and basic trade tools.
  • Valid driver's license if operating company vehicles.
  • Ability to perform essential job duties safely, with reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Welding, torch cutting, and metal fabrication experience.
  • Experience with plant shutdowns and field maintenance.
  • Pump and gearbox rebuilding experience.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance and lubrication practices.
  • Millwright apprenticeship, trade school training, or equivalent experience.
