Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance, particularly with diesel engines, and possess the ability to work on various types of heavy machinery and equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are operating efficiently and safely. Knowledge in DOT inspections is a plus! Pay level will be based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Conduct inspections of farm machinery and heavy equipment to identify potential issues.
• Fabricate parts as necessary to ensure optimal performance of machinery.
• Repair and maintain electrical systems within diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Provide tire service for various types of vehicles as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
• Operate heavy equipment safely while conducting repairs or maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices, including electrical systems.
• Proficient in tire service operations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management.
