Accountant

Edwards Tree Service is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Amherst, Ohio. This full-time position is responsible for managing general ledger activities, monthly financial close, bank reconciliations, payroll and sales tax filings, 401(k) administration, and year-end accounting support. The role also involves maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting multi-state licensing and tax requirements, and assisting with grants and financial documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience, excellent organizational skills, proficiency with Excel and accounting software, and the ability to manage confidential information and multiple company entities. Experience with payroll taxes, workers' compensation, sales tax, IFTA, FMCSA/DOT compliance, and multi-state requirements is highly valued.
