Work Environment
- Work in a 1.2 million sq. ft. distribution facility.
- Join a team supporting maintenance operations throughout the facility.
- The primary focus will be on the automation portion of the facility.
- Responsible for preventive maintenance and basic repairs on automation equipment and machines used to process items for distribution.
- Tools and equipment needed for the role will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and basic repairs on mechanical, electrical, and automation equipment.
- Maintain and inspect automation machines that support distribution operations.
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections and identify potential equipment issues.
- Diagnose straightforward mechanical or equipment problems and perform repairs under supervision.
- Assist with installation, modification, and maintenance of facility equipment and systems.
- Review assigned work orders and use maintenance systems to track and document completed work.
- Follow established preventive maintenance procedures and safety standards.
- Support efficient operation of equipment and systems.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when required.
- Inspect equipment and installations for safety and compliance with established standards.
- Work closely with the maintenance team and communicate equipment issues clearly.
- Follow established procedures and complete assigned tasks with close supervision and guidance.

Preferred Skills
- Previous experience with automation equipment, conveyors, distribution centers, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance.
- Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Preventive maintenance experience.
- Experience using work-order or maintenance tracking systems.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to stoop, bend, climb stairs and ladders, and work around equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more when required.
- Ability to work safely around moving machinery and automation equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School Diploma with approximately 1-2 years of job-related experience preferred.
- Candidates with a combination of relevant education, hands-on experience, and mechanical aptitude may also be considered.
- No specific licenses or certifications required.
Software
- Basic computer skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.
