Location: Pontiac, MI 48341
Pay Rate: $17.00/hr
Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract-to-Hire
Shift: A and B Shifts, 1st and 2nd Shift Hours
Job Summary
Entech Staffing Solutions is hiring detail-oriented Quality Inspectors to join our team at Hansae Automotive in Pontiac, Michigan.
Our client is premier automotive supplier, and as a Quality Inspector, you will serve as the final line of defense in ensuring automotive parts and interior components meet strict client specs, tolerances, and defect-free standards before shipment.
Key Responsibilities
Visual & Dimensional Inspection: Conduct thorough visual inspections of automotive parts for defects, surface flaws, flashes, color mismatches, and structural irregularities.
Measurement & Testing: Use basic tools (gauges, calipers, micrometers, or fixtures) to verify part dimensions against technical blueprints and specifications.
Defect Documentation: Accurately document non-conforming parts, record rejection numbers, and flag quality trends in shift tracking sheets.
Containment & Sorting: Separate bad parts from production runs immediately to prevent defective inventory from moving down the line or shipping to customers.
Communication: Partner directly with production operators, shift leads, and quality managers to report recurring quality concerns.
Compliance & Safety: Maintain clean, safe workspaces following 5S standards and plant safety rules.
Qualifications & Requirements
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Required PPE: Steel-toed boots/shoes are strictly required on day one.
Previous quality inspection, assembly, or manufacturing experience is preferred (automotive background is a strong plus).
Strong attention to detail, precision, and good color vision/perception.
Ability to stand for the full duration of an 8- to 10-hour shift and lift up to 35 lbs as needed.
Reliable transportation to the Pontiac facility.
Dependable attendance and strong punctuality.
Must be willing to undergo standard pre-employment drug screening and background check.
