If reading a print, setting a jig, and laying down a clean bead sounds like your perfect evening, this role is for you. We're seeking a MIG/TIG pro who thrives on accuracy, consistency, and safety.
Role Snapshot- Shift: 2nd
- Hours: Monday-Thursday, 3:30 PM-2:00 AM
- Overtime: Friday and Saturday
- Pay: $18-$22 per hour, depending on experience
- Read and follow work orders, welding diagrams, layouts, and symbols.
- Position parts in jigs/fixtures; clamp according to layout marks.
- Select equipment, settings, and consumables based on spec and thickness.
- Perform MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding to standard.
- Execute tack welds and confidently handle vertical and overhead positions.
- Verify bead size/appearance and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Repair cracked or broken components, fill holes, and build up material.
- Grind, blend, and remove excess weld, slag, and spatter.
- Clean and degrease parts before and after welding as required.
- Adhere to all quality, process, and safety procedures.
- Practical experience with both MIG and TIG welding.
- Previous welding experience or technical schooling/training.
- Ability to pass a CWI-administered weld test.
- Proficient at interpreting work orders, layouts, and instructions.
- Detail-focused and quality-driven mindset.
- Capable of standing for the full shift and lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Dependable; comfortable in a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift experience
- Basic computer proficiency
