A day in your bootsYou'll roll out in a well-stocked vehicle, greet homeowners, and get to work installing, repairing, and optimizing residential electrical and standby power systems. You'll route conduit, pull cable, set and wire equipment, tie in circuits, and ensure everything meets code. You'll diagnose problems, replace breakers, upgrade components, and test systems so they run safely and reliably-then clearly explain options to customers. Special projects keep things interesting, and you'll jump in where needed to support the team.
What you'll handle- Install and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in residential settings.
- Lay out and install conduit and piping to protect and route conductors.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes.
- Install circuit breakers and related electrical hardware; terminate and connect conductors.
- Connect interior electrical systems to the building's power supply as required.
- Test installations to verify proper operation and safety.
- Inspect systems to determine needed repairs or upgrades.
- Replace conduit, wiring, and circuit breakers as needed.
- Assist with special projects and perform related duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of residential service experience (required).
- Generac certification (highly preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and a clean MVR.
