Experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician

$30-$39/Hour + Spiffs Take-Home Company Vehicle Minimal On-Call

Mechollage is hiring an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician for our Hampton Roads team. This is a field-service position for a technician who knows how to troubleshoot residential equipment, make accurate repairs, and communicate professionally with homeowners.

Your Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential heating and cooling systems
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration-related issues
• Perform preventative maintenance and system tune-ups
• Identify the root cause of equipment problems rather than simply replacing parts
• Explain system conditions and repair options clearly to homeowners
• Recommend repairs, upgrades, or replacement options when appropriate
• Complete service calls efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship
• Keep your vehicle, tools, and work areas clean and organized
• Document service work accurately
• Maintain a professional customer experience on every call

What We are Looking For:

We're specifically looking for technicians who can work independently in the field and handle residential service calls with confidence.

• 3+ years of residential HVAC service experience required
• EPA Universal Certification required
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Proven residential repair experience
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Able to manage service calls independently
• Experience with system replacements or installation is a plus
