CONCRETE FINISHER - COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION

TRAVEL IS REQUIRED - THIS IS A TRAVELING POSITION

BC Companies LLC is seeking experienced Concrete Finishers to join our commercial construction team. This position requires frequent travel to project sites and is ideal for dependable, skilled finishers who are comfortable working on commercial, fueling, truck stop, retail, and civil construction projects.

Position Summary

The Concrete Finisher is responsible for forming, placing, leveling, finishing, and curing concrete on commercial job sites. Candidates must have hands-on concrete experience, understand proper finishing techniques, and be able to perform quality work while maintaining production schedules and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set, brace, and strip concrete forms
• Place, screed, level, float, and finish concrete
• Complete slabs, sidewalks, curbs, equipment pads, bollards, footings, and other concrete work
• Establish grades and elevations using grade pins and project drawings
• Operate power trowels, screeds, floats, saws, and standard concrete finishing tools
• Consolidate concrete and achieve specified elevations, slopes, and finishes
• Perform broom, smooth, trowel, and other required finishes
• Install and finish concrete around bollards, equipment, and site features
• Apply curing compounds and protective treatments as required
• Patch and repair concrete when necessary
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area
• Work efficiently with Superintendents, Foremen, and other crew members
• Follow all BC Companies safety policies, OSHA requirements, and PPE standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of commercial or civil concrete experience
• Must be willing and able to travel for work
• Strong forming and concrete finishing skills
• Ability to read construction plans, elevations, and details
• Experience with trowels, floats, screeds, power trowels, and finishing equipment
• Understanding of concrete placement, curing, and finishing requirements
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship

Preferred Experience

• Commercial and civil concrete construction
• Gas stations, truck stops, retail sites, and fueling facilities
• ADA sidewalks, ramps, and accessible concrete work
• Curbs, bollards, equipment pads, and foundations
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Skid steer, mini-excavator, or other equipment operating experience
• CDL is a plus
