Laboratory Director OR Director of Laboratory Services Outside of Pittsburgh

New Laboratory Director / Director of Laboratory Services opening at a hospital outside of Pittsburgh! This hospital is looking to add an experienced laboratory leader to its team in a full-time position overseeing laboratory operations and supporting quality patient care.

The Laboratory Director will oversee laboratory services, manage departmental budgets and staffing needs, maintain quality assurance and quality control programs, and work closely with pathologists and hospital leadership. Additional responsibilities include overseeing equipment performance, improving laboratory procedures, and supporting laboratory information systems.

For consideration, applicants must have:

• Bachelor s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field.

• ASCP or AMT certification as a Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist.

• At least five years of laboratory experience, including three years in a supervisory or management position.

A master s degree in Clinical Laboratory Management or a related field is preferred. Applicants should have strong communication skills and knowledge of both laboratory operations and management principles.
