Lab Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily laboratory activities to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to protocols
- Oversee sample collection, processing, and analysis to maintain accuracy and quality standards
- Train, mentor, and evaluate laboratory staff to foster professional development and ensure compliance
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety standards
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Document laboratory procedures, results, and quality control measures accurately
- Manage inventory of supplies and reagents, placing orders as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
- Two-year or four-year degree in medical lab technology required; advanced degrees preferred
- Proven experience in a laboratory setting, with supervisory or leadership responsibilities
- This position is expected to be able to perform bench work
- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards
- Must be proficient in phlebotomy
- Certification preferred but not required
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with laboratory equipment and software
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
