Job description
Analyzer Technician (CEMS / PLEX)
Location: Pasadena, TX - 77507
Job Type: Full Time On Site
Status: Temp - potential to go permanent for the right candidate
We're looking for an Analyzer Tech who knows their way around CEMS and PLEX systems and can keep emissions equipment online in refinery and industrial environments. If you can troubleshoot, run clean calibrations, and handle unit work without babysitting, you'll fit in here.
Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot CEMS analyzers (NOx, SO2, CO, O2, THC, opacity).
- Operate, maintain, and repair PLEX analyzers and related components.
- Perform gas audits, linearity checks, and compliance driven analyzer routines.
- Maintain sample systems: probes, filters, pumps, chillers, and conditioning equipment.
- Document calibration results, maintenance actions, and analyzer performance trends.
- Work safely inside operating units following Air Liquide and site specific procedures.
Qualifications
- 3-7 years industrial analyzer or I&E experience.
- Hands on experience with CEMS and PLEX - real field experience, not classroom exposure.
- Strong understanding of sample systems, gas delivery, flow control, chillers, pumps, and conditioning equipment.
- Ability to read P&IDs, wiring diagrams, loop sheets, and analyzer schematics.
- Familiarity with Air Liquide style safety culture: LOTO, hot work, confined space, and unit permitting.
- TWIC + Basic Safety (ISTC or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong communication and documentation habits.
Abilities
- Diagnose analyzer issues quickly and accurately.
- Perform clean, repeatable calibrations that meet compliance standards.
- Work independently in operating units while staying aligned with safety and procedures.
- Keep analyzers online, stay organized, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Communicate clearly with operations, environmental, and maintenance teams.
Temp to Perm Potential
Starts temp - there's potential to roll permanent for the right hand who shows up, works safe, and proves they can handle CEMS, PLEX, and unit work without needing babysitting.
