Tree Climber

Job Description Job Description JR Tree Service is the best local tree service carrying a complete line of insurance, including workman's compensation. The right person will have climbing experience with increasing crew responsibility. Compensation will depend on experience and will include a performance bonus.

Roles include:

• Tree pruning and removal without spikes.
• Leading removal of trees with crane.
• Showing crews what work needs to be done.
• Developing key performance goals and holding employees accountable.
• Ensuring that crews deliver quality service to clients.
• Training crews to be safe and OSHA compliant (and maintaining documentation).
• Ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

Required skills/experience:

• Certified arborist.
• At least five (5) years tree experience with three (3) as lead climber.
• Climbing skills, including crane work.
• Operate a bucket truck with manual transmission.
• Ability to teach others how to do tree work.
• Proactive (I.e. implements maintenance schedule as opposed to fixing things after they break).
• Ability to identify local plants and trees.

Highly desirable skills/experience:

• College degree.
• OSHA training certification.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
