Location: Brownsville, TX
Pay: $38.00/hour plus overtime at $57.00/hour
Per Diem: $125 per day
Schedule: Day or night shift, approximately 60-72 hours per week
Employment Type: 13-week contract-to-hire

Start Date: ASAP

Job Summary:

We are hiring Commercial HVAC Technicians for a large-scale industrial construction project in South Texas.

This position involves installing, starting up, and troubleshooting packaged HVAC equipment and split systems. Candidates should have commercial or industrial HVAC experience and be comfortable working with larger equipment and three-phase electrical systems.

Residential-only HVAC experience will not qualify.

Responsibilities

• Install packaged HVAC units and split systems
• Perform mechanical assembly, fit-up, and equipment installation
• Connect and inspect HVAC components
• Assist with equipment startup and commissioning
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, airflow, and controls issues
• Read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
• Check motors, compressors, blowers, coils, filters, and refrigerant pressures
• Use HVAC diagnostic and service tools
• Support equipment testing, turnover, and final installation
• Follow all jobsite safety and quality requirements

Requirements

• Commercial or industrial HVAC experience
• Experience installing packaged units and split systems
• Mechanical installation and fit-up skills
• HVAC troubleshooting experience
• Familiarity with three-phase electrical equipment
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
• Ability to work approximately 60-72 hours per week
• Ability to work either a day or night shift
• Willingness to work onsite in South Texas
