Lead Lighting Technician - Permanent, Holiday, and Event Lighting

Silicon Valley Lights San Francisco Bay Area, CA Full-time 2 openings $1,300$1,850 per week Silicon Valley Lights is hiring experienced lighting technicians to lead our growing outdoor installation crews. Responsibilities As a Lead Lighting Technician, your responsibilities will include: - Leading installation crews on permanent, holiday, and event jobs from layout through final walkthrough - Reviewing job plans and site conditions, and assigning tasks across the crew - Checking crew work for quality, safety, and consistency before sign-off - Diagnosing and resolving complex electrical and controller issues - Serving as the on-site point of contact for customers, including final walkthroughs and system demonstrations - Training and mentoring Technician I and II crew members - Running pre-job safety briefings and making sure crews follow safety practices - Planning post-holiday takedowns, including labeling and storage for reinstallation Skills and Qualifications To succeed in this position, you need to: - Have at least 2-3 years of experience in roofing, construction, lighting, solar, low-voltage electrical, or another hands-on trade - Have at least 1 year of experience leading a crew - Efficiently diagnose and repair electrical issues - Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders - Safely operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other equipment after training - Have a valid California drivers license and personal vehicle - Work comfortably outdoors, and on ladders and rooflines - Lift 50 pounds regularly - Be available to work evenings and weekends About Us Silicon Valley Lights specializes in installing custom holiday, permanent outdoor, and event lighting solutions.
