Job Summary:- Client is seeking experienced Data Center Technicians to support large-scale data center deployment and operations activities. This role is responsible for rack and stack installations, structured cabling, hardware deployment, asset management, and data center infrastructure support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with enterprise server installations, cable management, hardware troubleshooting, and adherence to data center safety standards. Key Responsibilities
Perform rack, stack, and cabling installations for servers, storage, networking, and GPU-based systems.
Install rails, mount equipment, label assets, and maintain proper airflow and cable management standards.
Connect and validate power, fiber, and copper network cabling.
Support hardware moves, adds, and changes (MACs) throughout the data center environment.
Follow established deployment runbooks, procedures, and engineering documentation.
Perform basic hardware validation, LED and port checks, and physical troubleshooting.
Maintain accurate asset inventory, labeling, and deployment documentation.
Collaborate with engineering and network teams during deployments, migrations, and infrastructure projects.
Adhere to ESD, safety, and security requirements at all times.
Assist with decommissioning and removal of end-of-life hardware.
Required Qualifications:-
3+ years of hands-on data center experience performing rack and stack activities.
Strong understanding of:
Server and network rack layouts
Structured cabling (fiber and copper)
Power Distribution Units (PDUs)
Experience installing enterprise server platforms such as Dell, Supermicro, or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret rack elevation diagrams and deployment documentation.
Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and working within rack environments.
Knowledge of ESD procedures and safe handling of sensitive equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to execute work according to documented procedures. Preferred
Qualifications:-
Experience supporting hyperscale or high-density compute environments.
Exposure to GPU-based infrastructure or high-performance computing environments.
Knowledge of hot aisle/cold aisle containment best practices.
Experience supporting large-scale hardware refreshes, deployments, or migrations.
Basic Linux experience is preferred but not required.
