Cable Technician

Pay Range: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.

Outsource is seeking a motivated Cable Technician to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of hands-on cable installation or telecommunications experience who is ready to take on a variety of residential and commercial projects. You'll be working directly with customers and equipment to deliver reliable connectivity solutions across the Phoenix area.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain cable, internet, and related telecommunications equipment at customer locations
• Run and terminate coaxial, fiber, and Ethernet cabling in residential and commercial settings
• Test signal strength and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure optimal service quality
• Explain installed services and basic equipment operation to customers in a clear, professional manner
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, materials used, and service completion details
• Follow safety protocols when working with ladders, tools, and electrical equipment
• Coordinate with dispatch and team members to manage daily service schedules efficiently

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in cable installation, telecommunications, or a related field
• Working knowledge of coaxial, fiber optic, and Ethernet cabling systems
• Comfortable using hand tools, cable testers, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to work in varied environments, including climbing ladders and working in tight spaces
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the workday

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay range of $18.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and project requirements
