We are looking for an experienced and dependable carpenter to join our non-union team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, take pride in their work, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. We are looking for a well-rounded and dependable individual who is comfortable taking on a variety of tasks as they come up. The ideal candidate is flexible, willing to learn, and able to step in wherever needed to help keep jobs moving.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial carpentry and general construction work
• Wood and metal stud framing
• Drywall installation and finishing
• Install doors, frames and hardware
• Install acoustical ceilings
• Perform millwork and finish carpentry
• Assist with concrete grinding and polishing as needed
• Read and understand blueprints, drawings and project specifications
• Measure, cut and install materials accurately
• Perform a variety of construction-related tasks as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
• Follow company and jobsite safety requirements
• Work efficiently while maintaining quality standards
• Work cooperatively with other employees and trades

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of commercial construction/carpentry experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of commercial carpentry practices
• Experience with framing, drywall, doors and frames, ceilings and finish work
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings
• Well-rounded and willing to perform a variety of construction-related tasks
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing job needs
• Willing to learn and take on new tasks as needed
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, dependable and punctual
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to safely lift and carry construction materials
• Must be comfortable working in a hands-on construction environment
