Job description
The CNC Programmer will specialize in programming laser machines to optimize manufacturing processes, primarily focusing on sheet metal components. This role involves integrating CAD/CAM software with CNC programming and supporting lean manufacturing initiatives. The programmer will work closely with the production team on a daily basis, contributing to continuous improvement and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Set up laser CNC machines for production runs
- Integrate CAD/CAM data with CNC programming processes
- Develop and optimize CNC programs tailored to sheet metal fabrication
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow and reduce waste
- Collaborate daily with production team members to ensure alignment and troubleshoot issues
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in CNC programming
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software platforms (other specified software)
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for daily team interaction
