Job description
The role focuses on building complex custom machinery from the ground up by assembling machined and purchased components, wiring electrical systems, and supporting the full lifecycle of equipment from fabrication through final build.
The responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
Assemble machined and purchased components to build complete machines according to specifications
Build and integrate components required for the proper function of machines
Interpret and follow blueprints, mechanical drawings and electrical schematics to ensure accurate assembly and wiring
Perform mechanical assembly tasks, including fitting, aligning and securing parts using appropriate hand tools and equipment
Verify that assembled machines meet functional requirements and are ready for testing and final adjustments
Collaborate with fabrication, machining and paint departments to ensure smooth progression of machines from initial fabrication through final build
Use basic hand tools, power tools, and measurement devices safely and effectively during assembly
Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures while working with mechanical and electrical components
Must have your own tools or have the ability to acquire tools
