OEM, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dependable Welder to join our manufacturing team in San Antonio, Texas. This position requires proficiency in both MIG and TIG welding, as well as a creative mindset and strong aptitude for fabrication.

Applicants should be comfortable performing both processes regularly, with TIG welding on aluminum being used more frequently in our day-to-day production. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and can reliably produce clean, consistent, high-quality welds.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding as required for daily production
• Weld and fabricate components according to drawings, measurements, and specifications
• Produce clean, consistent, and structurally sound welds
• Fit, position, and assemble components prior to welding
• Measure and verify parts using common measuring tools
• Grind, clean, prep, and finish welded components when necessary
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, appearance, and quality
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work with other members of the manufacturing team to complete projects efficiently
• Follow company safety procedures and production standards

Qualifications

• Proficiency in both MIG and TIG welding
• Previous professional welding or fabrication experience preferred
• Ability to consistently produce clean and controlled welds
• Ability to read measurements and work from drawings or fabrication instructions
• Experience with common metal fabrication tools and equipment
• Good attention to detail and workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to safely lift, position, and handle materials commonly used in a fabrication environment
