Pay Rate: $20.00 - $23.00/Hour

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Multimedia Technician to join our team in San Antonio. In this dynamic role, you will be the primary point of contact for the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of a wide array of enterprise technology, including advanced audio/visual systems, live broadcasting equipment, end-user computing devices, and fleet printers/plotters.

You will play a vital role in supporting high-profile corporate functions-including Board of Trustee meetings, public outreach events, and public input sessions-as well as providing reliable Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for our internal workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• A/V Event Support: Provide end-to-end setup, live operation, monitoring, and breakdown of professional audio and visual equipment (projectors, mixers, microphones, speakers, and live broadcasting encoders) for internal and external events, board meetings, and public forums.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Deliver prompt, effective on-site and remote support for desktop computers, laptops, multifunctional printers (MFPs), scanners, plotters, video conferencing systems, and mobile devices.
• Maintenance & Logistics: Perform routine maintenance and hardware repairs on MFPs, plotters, and scanners. Coordinate equipment deliveries, installations, and relocations with employees and external vendors.
• Documentation & Training: Create and update clear troubleshooting procedures, product use guides, and end-user training materials to empower staff.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvements to increase operational efficiency and maintain sharp technical skills through ongoing research, training, and industry awareness.
• On-Call & Flexible Hours: Participate in a call-duty rotation to provide 24/7 support when needed. (Note: Sponsored events may occasionally occur after normal business hours, on weekends, and on holidays).

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Experience: Experience in the setup, support, and maintenance of A/V equipment (LCD/LED TVs, projectors, PA systems) and multifunctional printers, scanners, and plotters.
• Organizational Familiarity: Comfortable working within a tiered IT/support structure organization.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of PC networking concepts, terminology, and Windows Active Directory.
• Software Proficiency: Experienced in using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize daily tasks and follow precise directions.
• Licensing: Valid Class C Texas Driver's License with a favorable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree or higher.
• Certifications: CompTIA A+ or Network+ Certification.
• Specialized Skills: Advanced or expanded knowledge fields in Audio/Visual technology and reprographics.
