Welder TIG (GTAW)

Pay: $32-$35/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, OT may be required

We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder for a full-time manufacturing opportunity in the San Fernando Valley. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on TIG/GTAW welding experience, excellent blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to consistently produce high-quality welds while working to detailed specifications and tolerances.
Responsibilities

• Set up and operate TIG/GTAW welding equipment.
• Weld stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel, and other specified materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
• Prepare components by cleaning, cutting, fitting, and positioning materials.
• Select appropriate welding settings, filler materials, and techniques.
• Inspect completed welds for quality and conformance to specifications.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Identify welding defects and perform necessary corrections or repairs.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in proper working condition.
• Complete required production and quality documentation.
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Work with other departments to support production and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of TIG/GTAW welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience TIG welding stainless steel and aluminum strongly preferred.
• Experience working with carbon steel.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of welding procedures, materials, filler metals, and equipment settings.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and similar measuring tools.
• Ability to produce clean, consistent, high-quality welds.
• MIG welding experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Dependable and able to meet production schedules.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and work in various positions for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to safely use welding equipment, hand tools, measuring instruments, and required PPE.
