About the Role:

The Oficial de Nómina plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees within the organization. This position is responsible for maintaining payroll records, calculating wages, and ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations. The successful candidate will also be tasked with addressing any payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing them with clear and accurate information. Additionally, the Oficial de Nómina will collaborate with other departments to ensure that all payroll data is up-to-date and reflects any changes in employment status or compensation. Ultimately, this role is vital for maintaining employee satisfaction and trust in the organization's payroll processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in payroll processing and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in payroll management or related field.
  • Experience with payroll software and systems.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring accuracy in wage calculations and deductions.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to reconcile payroll discrepancies and prepare reports.
