Job description
AMS Services is seeking an experienced residential appliance repair technician for Eugene, Springfield and nearby Oregon communities. Full-time availability preferred; part-time can be discussed. Your service area will be agreed before starting.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not W-2 employment. Compensation is 50% of the completed job total after parts costs are deducted. Payments are made on Thursdays for completed jobs from the previous week. There is no hourly wage or base salary; workload and earnings are not guaranteed.
Responsibilities: independently diagnose and repair residential washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens/ranges and refrigerators; explain repair options and pricing to customers; document service and completed repairs in Housecall Pro; coordinate appointments with dispatch. Sealed-system repair experience is a plus, not required.
Requirements: at least 6 months of paid, hands-on appliance repair experience, reliable vehicle, personal tools and ability to work independently. Before starting, contractors must have an LLC and General Liability Insurance, provide a W-9, and sign the AMS contractor agreement and technician handbook. Contractors cover their own vehicle, fuel, tools, insurance and taxes.
We provide dispatch support, scheduling assistance and access to Housecall Pro.
