Job Description:
This position will provide administrative and operational support for payroll and Human Resources functions, with a primary focus on accurate and timely payroll processing.
Responsible for supporting bi-weekly payroll processing for 450+ employees.
Enter and review timekeeping, earnings, deductions, payroll taxes, garnishments, incentive payments, and employee changes.
Prepare payroll files and reports for regular, supplemental, final, quarter-end, and year-end payroll processing.
Research payroll discrepancies and maintain accurate payroll records.
Prepare routine payroll reports and supporting documentation for Accounting.
Prepare and submit 401(k), HSA, and FSA payroll files and maintain related records.
Reconcile payroll and benefit invoices, identify variances, obtain approvals, and submit payment documentation.
Assist with new-hire and termination benefit processing, including enrollments, terminations, payroll deduction updates, employee communications, and vendor documentation.
Assist with FMLA administration by tracking leave hours and balances, maintaining documentation, and coordinating routine communication with employees and managers.
Prepare recurring and ad hoc HR reports and assist with departmental projects and audits.
Provide administrative support for ADP and other payroll and HR systems, including data entry, file uploads, testing, and record maintenance.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll, salary, benefits, medical, and employee information.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Strong knowledge of payroll processing, timekeeping, deductions, and payroll taxes
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational, reconciliation, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Experience working with payroll and/or Human Resources systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet payroll deadlines
Professional and comfortable communicating with employees at all levels
Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1-2+ years of payroll and/or Human Resources experience required
Hands-on, end-to-end payroll processing experience required
ADP experience preferred
Payroll reporting and benefits administration experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, or equivalent years of HR, payroll processing, or accounting experience
Payroll certification is a plus
