Data Analyst

Responsible for ensuring accuracy in decision science and reporting and for collecting, managing, and converting raw data into information that can be interpreted by the business. Engage with domain experts, Business Analysts, and Financial Analysts to define data requirements for specific business processes. Collect data from various sources, building recommendations for Data Engineering team members to implement automated pipelines, ETLs, and ELTs. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity throughout the data analysis process. Identify and resolve data quality issues. Perform core SQL Server database administration tasks, including account administration, system health and performance, troubleshooting and real-time problem resolution. Perform technical tasks for automated pipelines, ETLs and ELTs when a Data Engineer is unavailable. Support and establish reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI. Provide second level employee support for decision science services. Troubleshoot, identify, remediate data performance issues that come with developing, querying, and combining large data sets from a variety of sources. Work closely with application and technical teams to ensure that current and future services meet data architecture requirements. Collaborate with various business users to understand data definitions, analytics use cases and assist in building data governance and detailed data requirements. Responsible for executing simultaneous project activities that require innovative problem solving. Research tools, disciplines and industry trends and recommend improvements for team or company consideration. Work from home up to two days a week. Salary: $74,069.00. Requires: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a closely-related degree. 6 months of experience in any IT position working on a corporate IT team. Demonstrated programming and scripting experience (SQL or Python). Demonstrated experience engineering within a data warehouse or dimensional data modeling. Demonstrated understanding of cloud-based tools, including Power BI, Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, (link removed), Excel, and database management. Demonstrated understanding of the software development lifecycle. Experience may be gained in any work or educational program.
