Apartment Leasing Consultant - Affordable Housing
Columbus, OH
$18-$20 per hour Full-Time Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Career Strategies is actively seeking an experienced Apartment Leasing Consultant for an affordable housing community in Columbus, OH. This is a great opportunity for a compliance-oriented leasing professional who understands affordable housing programs and enjoys providing excellent resident service.
Position Overview:
We are looking for someone with prior leasing experience and hands-on knowledge of affordable housing programs such as LIHTC, Section 8, or HUD. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-driven, and comfortable managing compliance paperwork while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist prospective and current residents
- Conduct tours and follow up with prospects
- Process rental applications and verify income documentation
- Ensure compliance with LIHTC, Section 8, and/or HUD guidelines
- Prepare lease agreements and renewals
- Maintain accurate resident files and data entry
- Submit and monitor work orders
- Provide professional and responsive customer service
Qualifications:
- Apartment leasing experience required
- Affordable housing experience required (LIHTC, Section 8, HUD)
- Strong understanding of compliance and income verification
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience with Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software is a plus
