Safelite is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Remote Payroll Analyst to support accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across a multi-state, multi-company environment. This position is responsible for payroll processing, reconciliations, reporting, compliance, payroll system support, and resolving complex payroll and timekeeping issues while partnering with employees, managers, internal teams, and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Process regular, off-cycle, and annual payroll accurately and on time.
• Research and resolve complex payroll, tax, timekeeping, and reconciliation issues.
• Process payroll adjustments, incentive taxation, retroactive payments, and other complex transactions.
• Perform payroll audits and reconciliations to identify and correct discrepancies.
• Review payroll and timekeeping reports to identify errors and ensure data accuracy.
• Build reports and analyze payroll data using Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
• Provide payroll guidance and support to employees, managers, business partners, and external vendors.
• Maintain accurate employee, payroll, and timekeeping records.
• Support payroll system implementations, upgrades, testing, and process improvements.
• Develop and maintain payroll procedures, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Research payroll laws and regulations and implement required process or system changes.
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, tax, wage, and hour requirements.
• Work with internal departments and third-party providers to troubleshoot payroll-related issues.
• Serve as a payroll subject matter expert and provide training and guidance to team members.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee payroll and personal information.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of payroll experience in a multi-state, high-volume environment.
• Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and accounting principles.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
• Experience with payroll software and systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with ADP, UKG, Workday, or Oracle Fusion is preferred.
• CPP or FPC certification is preferred.
• Prior wage and hour experience is preferred.

• Remote / Work-from-home
• Compensation: starts from $1200
• Full-time
• Eastern Standard Time core business hours
• Reports to the Payroll Operations Manager
