Principal Software Engineer Noetica (Thomson Reuters)
About the role:
Noetica is Thomson Reuters' AI-powered deal intelligence platform it extracts and benchmarks legal and capital-markets deal terms from millions of transactions. We're hiring a Principal Software Engineer to lead backend-leaning full-stack development on the platform.
What you'll do:
Design and build distributed, event-driven systems and microservices at scale
Lead API design (RESTful) and data processing pipelines
Set technical direction and mentor engineers across the team
Contribute across the stack, including TypeScript/React on the frontend
What we're looking for:
years of professional full-stack engineering with a strong backend focus
Node.js, Python, or Go; SQL and NoSQL databases
Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS or GCP
Message queues, event-driven architectures, CI/CD
Bonus: monorepo tooling, an interest in language and economics
Location: Hybrid New York NY, Frisco TX, Toronto ON, Ann Arbor MI, or Eagan MN
Compensation: $158,900 $295,100 USD (up to $340,000 in high-cost metros), plus annual bonus
