Hiring: QA Engineer
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Salary: $50,000 $60,000/yr
Schedule: Full-time On-Site
Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a QA Engineer to support quality assurance and continuous improvement within an electronics manufacturing environment. This role will oversee quality processes throughout production, monitor key performance indicators, conduct root cause analysis, manage corrective actions, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee quality control processes throughout production
Monitor First Pass Yield and other quality performance indicators
Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality standards and customer requirements
Collaborate with QC inspectors and cross-functional teams to resolve defects
Analyze quality data and identify recurring issues and trends
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Track and close 8D corrective actions
Lead and update PFMEA and process documentation
Respond to customer quality concerns and support timely resolution
Collaborate with design teams to ensure products are compatible with manufacturing processes
Monitor quality, efficiency, and productivity KPIs
Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Minimum 5 years of product engineering experience
At least 2 years of leadership experience overseeing engineers or technicians
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards
Proficiency with Minitab and quality management tools
Experience with root cause analysis, 8D corrective actions, PFMEA, and CAPA
Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing specifications
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Project management experience preferred
CQE certification preferred
Experience with SMT or Failure Analysis manufacturing processes preferred
Lean Six Sigma knowledge preferred
