Pay: $60,000 $100,000+ annual earning potential through commission/performance-based pay

Schedule: Monday Friday No weekends No on-call or emergency work

Position Overview
Were seeking an experienced Service Carpenter & Handyman who can confidently handle a wide variety of residential repairs, carpentry, maintenance, and installation projects while providing a professional customer experience.
This is a customer-facing service position, so the right person needs both strong hands-on trade skills and the ability to communicate comfortably with homeowners.
Youll do more than complete the physical work. Youll also identify and explain recommended work, prepare estimates and scopes, sell approved work, gather or coordinate materials, and help manage installation projects from start to finish.

What You'll Do
Residential Service & Repairs
Perform residential carpentry, handyman, repair, maintenance, and installation work
Complete finish carpentry including doors, trim, baseboards, crown molding, cabinetry, shelving, built-ins, and hardware
Perform drywall repair, tape and float, texture matching, painting, and touch-up work
Complete framing, punch-out work, and general carpentry repairs
Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs and fixture replacements
Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites
Customer Service & Sales
Communicate directly with homeowners throughout the service process
Listen to customer needs and identify potential solutions
Explain recommended repairs, improvements, and installation options clearly
Prepare accurate scopes and estimates for recommended work
Present and sell approved work in a professional, no-pressure manner
Document work performed and communicate professionally with customers
Project Coordination
Gather, purchase, or coordinate materials needed for approved projects
Coordinate installation projects and help keep work moving from estimate through completion
Communicate with customers, installers, vendors, and other team members as needed
Monitor project progress and address issues that arise during the job
Take ownership of projects and ensure the customer understands what is happening throughout the process
What You Bring
Required
5+ years of residential carpentry, remodeling, maintenance, or handyman experience
Strong finish carpentry skills
Experience with drywall repair, painting, and general residential repairs
Strong knowledge of hand and power tools
Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install materials to within 1/16 inch
Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic measurements/math
Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine practical solutions
Strong customer service and communication skills
Comfortable working directly with homeowners inside occupied homes
Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
Open availability Monday Friday from 7:00 AM 6:00 PM, with the flexibility to stay through completion of the days scheduled work
Valid driver's license
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Ability to lift at least 55 pounds and follow company safety procedures
Ability to document work performed and communicate professionally with customers
Preferred
Experience with residential remodeling and installation projects
Experience preparing estimates, scopes, or material lists
Experience selling or recommending residential repair/improvement work
Experience coordinating subcontractors, installers, vendors, or project materials
Basic plumbing and electrical experience
ServiceTitan or similar field-service software experience
Compensation
$60,000 $100,000+ annual earning potential
Commission/performance-based compensation
Actual earnings depend on completed work, productivity, efficiency, skill level, customer satisfaction, and overall performance
