POSITION SUMMARY

Universal Electrical Service, Inc. (UES) is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician - Journeyman capable of handling complex electrical installations, equipment connections, and troubleshooting with minimal supervision. This position requires strong industrial electrical skills, sound field judgment, and the ability to support overall crew productivity and project quality.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform complex industrial electrical installations and terminations.
• Install switchgear, panels, feeders, motors, controls, equipment, and power-distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, control, and equipment problems.
• Assist with electrical layout, sequencing, material planning, and work coordination.
• Identify field conflicts and communicate practical solutions.
• Mentor apprentices and junior journeymen.
• Support crew productivity, safety, and project quality.
• Interpret electrical drawings, plans, specifications, and project requirements.
• Perform assigned work safely, accurately, and efficiently.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years of electrical field experience.
• Strong commercial and industrial electrical experience.
• Advanced conduit, wire, layout, termination, and installation skills.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local requirements.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to make sound, practical field decisions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship.
